Ghost Town/Alpine Tunnel run 2005: Nathaniel Miller and myself decide it would be fun to put together a run dedicated to exploring some of the many ghost/mining towns that are abundant in Colorado's Rocky Mountains. On a hot summer weekend in July. Nathaniel Miller, myself and a few fellow club members headed out to explore areas around St.Elmo and the Alpine Tunnel. We made a loop over the course of two days using Hancock, Cumberland and Tincup Pass. stopping along the way to enjoy some of the history in the area, including the Alpine Tunnel. It was a nice break exploring up in the hills away from the heat that was blasting Denver. Be sure to check out Nathaniel Millers acrtical "Places in Time" in the latest issue of Toyota Trails.
