Winter Utah Run 2006: For my winter trip to Utah, I was originally planning on exploring "Robbers Roost" with a few selected members of Rising Sun. A "Elite" run so to speak. When the time neared to leave for the trip, most everybody had backed out. Only one other member joined me for the trip, Dave "Red Fox" Brown. And Dave didn't make it out till that Thursday afternoon. I started in Goblin Valley State park, camping there for two nights, then heading north through the Southern region of the San Rafael Swell and camping in the northern region for a night. Up to Castlegate to explore a site of a robbery from Butch Cassidy. Made my way back south to Moab to meet up with Red Fox, stopping at Dead Horse Point on the way there to enjoy the fresh snow that fell the night before. Friday was the only day I wheeled. We did Chicken Corners packed up and headed home. The truck did well yet again, putting over 1600 miles on the rig. A great trip.
